The Channels of Virginia are about a 3 hour drive North of Charlotte NC. They are not known to many but it is a wonder to behold. There is only a small parking lot at the entrance that will hold ten cars. So a day hike versus a weekend hike is recommended. The hike is a moderate ~7 mile RT up a old fire road tower trail. Once at the tower, proceed across to the woods ahead and look for signs in the forest. Take plenty of water. Enjoy and get outside. #channelsofvirginia
