BOUNTY CAKE RECIPE | CHOCOLATE COCONUT CAKE | EASY CAKE FOR BEGINNERS
BOUNTY CAKE 🎂🍰
Ingredients:
1 cup all purpose flour
1/3 cup cocoa powder
2 Eggs
1 cup Sugar
Half cup Oil/butter
1 teaspoon Coconut/Vanilla Essence
Half teaspoon Baking Soda
Salt 2 pinch
1/4 cup dedicated coconut
Method:
Preheat oven to 180°C.
Stove Baking: Preheat your pot without salt/sand/stones for 20 mins at medium low flame.
Grease and line base of a loaf pan or cake tin.
My cake tin measured: 8inch
Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt together in a large bowl, add dessicated coconut and keep aside.
Prepare buttermilk. Half cup milk plus 1 tsp vinegar.
Beat sugar nd oil together on medium-high speed for 5 minutes.
Reduce speed to low add eggs. Mix in the coconut/vanilla essence.
Now add the dry mix to the wet mixture, fold gently but thoroughly. Mix the buttermilk too.
Pour the mixture into the cake/loaf pan, bake for 40 mins at 150°C or until the skewer comes out clean when tested. Same timings for stove Baking, medium flame, it will give the same colour plus the texture and taste .
