India, Pakistan DGMOs Hold First Round Of Talks To De-Escalate Tensions | News9

On May 12, 2025, the Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan—Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai and Maj Gen Kashif Abdullah—held the first round of talks via hotline at 5:00 PM. Defence sources confirmed that both sides discussed reinforcing their commitment to cease hostilities and avoid any aggressive or provocative actions. The talks also focused on initiating immediate measures to reduce troop presence along the borders and forward areas, signalling a step toward de-escalation and peace-building.
