Pheasant Hunting With GSP Puppy

Sawyer the GSP had his first pheasant contact in this video. We hunted public land a couple of times and made some bird finds but no luck connecting with one. So this time at a local preserve, we gave him the sure thing!

He did great, although not everything went as well as I would like but he had a couple nice points and we found most of the birds we put out. This is a private preserve, both hens and roosters are released and hunted. Hens can be a bit manageable for a young dog as they hold better.
