Gravity… For millennia we have watched things fall, and at first we took it for granted – it was just simply the way things worked.
Eventually, though, we began questioning that assumption…
First Galileo Galilee, then Nicolaus Copernicus, Johannes Kepler, Isaac Newton, and finally, Albert Einstein.
With Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity we now finally had an explanation as to why things fell.
Galileo, Copernicus, Kepler, and Newton may have described how things fell, but it took Einstein to explain why.
And yet, even with this newfound knowledge, we were unable to conceive of any means of controlling the most obvious force of nature - gravity.
Or have we?
