The Desert Sonoran Wolfberry (Lycium fremontii) is a deciduous Shrub growing to 3 m (9ft 10in). The flowers are hermaphrodite (have both male and female organs) and are pollinated by Bees. The bushes I planted use very little water, but still produce exceptionally well. Both bushes I have survived the summer here with temperatures reaching 126 degrees Fahrenheit. The plant can tolerate temperatures down to 20 degrees.
Suitable for: light (sandy), medium (loamy) and heavy (clay) soils, prefers well-drained soil and can grow in nutritionally poor soil. Suitable pH: acid, neutral and basic (alkaline) soils and can grow in very alkaline soils.

Plant it in full sun. It prefers dry or moist soil. The plant can tolerate temperatures down to 20 degrees.
