Pine Island Double Falls - HIDDEN Kentucky Waterfall

Pine Island Double Falls is a fantastic hidden waterfall located in the Daniel Boone National Forest. The trailhead is located in Laurel county in Eastern Kentucky. While I have also seen it called Pine Island Twin Falls, this waterfall is a little bit hard to find if there are no other cars already parked at the trailhead. Unlike many other Kentucky waterfalls, this double waterfall is not crowded, and is a little off the beaten path. The trail is mostly level with the exception of the final descent down to the falls. The pine island double falls hike is easily one of the best hikes I have every done and, and one of the best hiking trails in the Daniel Boone National Forest.
