The EPC mobile application associates the patient's ID with the biomedical device, before sending the data to the server based on the ID. This improves the security of patient data.

Today, the Nova Hospital lives in a wireless world. When the patient is transferred and the monitor is moved from its docking station, the patient's data is recorded and data collection continues in the next phase of care.
