I heard the spirit of the Lord say this as I woke up, “I am giving joy back into the prayer movement.” I felt this surge across your heart, that intimacy and prayer and intercession would start to thrill you again. The Lord is saying, I'm going to re-burden my warriors with a burden that they can steward with ease. And rather than prayer being tedious or intercession wearing you out and grinding you down.

The Lord says there is a birthing of a new intercessory movement in the earth today where watchmen and prophetic watchmen are going to rise with a new grace on them. And the spirit of the Lord says I will give you burdens for nations that you have longed to steward with ease. And the Lord says an ease will come to you and you will know what it is even to have completion in your prayers. And I heard the Lord say intercessors reward, intercessors reward, intercessors reward.

That it is not about stewarding things in a fruitless way but the Lord says you're going to oversee even the dynamics of national transformation as you come to be wedded to greater authority and greater joy in this new movement. And the Lord says this to me, fascinating a grouping of words. He says, I'm deconstructing the way you pray. Of course I want to say, Oh my God, does that mean that it, the way I pray, doesn't quite hit the mark. Of course it does. The Lord says there's a deconstruction of prayer.

And let me tell you what he went on to tell me about that. I'm going to make some guesses here, but give me grace that when you pray, you normally start with, Oh Lord, I come before you and I want to step into repentance and Lord I want to just confess my sins to you.

And the Lord says that what that does, although good and although necessary, when you start with that, there is a sense of self-focus on your own unworthiness and it starts a whole prayer time which then leads into, and then God, can you do this? Can you fulfill this need? Can you meet this obligation that I've got? The Lord says you have prayed in patterns of legalism. You have prayed with such familiarity to the structure of your prayer, that the Lord says I want to do a new thing in how you begin to approach me. I want to do a new thing in restructuring how you start even in your own devotional time to pray.

In the Lord's prayer the necessity of repentance it's actually far down as we think of those verses in scripture. But the first thing we're called to do is that sense of oh, our father hallowed be thy name - the sense that I come to God. I start with a prayer of understanding that I'm already right, I'm already a new creation. I therefore start with a prayer of intimacy with a father. We're already friends. Oh, you already adore me. We're already in this greatly connected relationship. Our father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Oh, you're Holy. Oh, I come to worship. Oh, I come to magnify who you are.

The Lord says, I am restarting your prayer life for you. And the Lord says, if you would pray in accordance to scripture it will revolutionize how you have got bored sometimes and frustrated in your intercessory journey. Because when you start a scripture says, hallowed be thy name. Oh, I magnify the Lord. Something changes where He becomes massive and you start to partner with awe and wonder. And when you partner with awe and wonder in your prayers you go through this different sort of gate in terms of what you can achieve in prayer.

Awe and wonder is a gateway to God beginning to move because awe and wonder increases faith. It increases expectation. It enables a greater partnership with His authority. And so that is why the Lord to saying, I am deconstructing how you pray. I am deconstructing the intercessory movement that it can begin in awe, it can begin in wonder, it can begin with a sense of my greatness.
