Transforming one of the world's most dangerous cities - Medellín

20 years ago, the Columbian city of Medellín had one of the highest murder rates in the world, made worse by uncontrolled urban expansion and social inequality. Faced with limited resources, the city's leaders adopted creative approaches to transform the city into one that is liveable and innovative, making it the winner of the 2016 Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize.
