🍚సింపుల్ & టేస్టీ బగార అన్నం | Hyderabadi Bagara Rice Recipe #BagaraRice #HyderabadiRecipes

Ingredients

1 cup basmati rice (washed and soaked for 20 minutes)

2 tbsp oil or ghee

1 bay leaf

1 cinnamon stick

3 cloves

2 cardamom pods

½ tsp shahi jeera (caraway seeds)

1 large onion (thinly sliced)

1 green chili (slit)

1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

Salt to taste

2 cups water

Optional: few mint leaves or coriander leaves for garnish

Preparation:

Heat oil or ghee in a thick-bottomed pan or pressure cooker.

Add bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, and shahi jeera. Sauté until aromatic.

Add sliced onions and green chili. Sauté until onions turn golden brown.

Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.

Add soaked and drained rice. Fry the rice gently for 2–3 minutes on medium flame.

Pour in 2 cups of water and add salt to taste. Mix well.

Cover and cook on low flame for 10–12 minutes or pressure cook for 1 whistle.

Fluff with a fork and garnish with fresh mint or coriander leaves (optional).

Serve hot with any spicy curry or raita.
