Today we’re going on a Thai street food tour in the popular beachside town of Pattaya, Thailand! Located just an hour and a half from central Bangkok, Pattaya is one of the closest beach destinations - but because it’s very touristy, unfortunately there’s quite a lot of not the greatest Thai food. But in this video I’m going to show you some authentic Thai food spots - so if you love Thai food and want to experience the real taste, don’t miss these places.

Mae Doom Fried Pork (แม่ตุ่มหมูทอด) - This is a very famous and popular local spot in Pattaya serving fried pork that’s been dried in the sun, as well as naem, which is fermented pork. I got a combination of both, which are deep fried with a mountain of garlic and green chilies. Served with both regular Jasmine rice and sticky rice, it was dangerously tasty. Total price - 170 THB ($5.06)

Sashimi Secret Beach Naklua (ซาซิมิ หาดลับ นาเกลือ) - Right along the beach, this is a place to come for seafood as fresh and local as you can possibly get. Mainly they have a few varieties of squid, including their famous tiger squid and pen shells. Absolutely phenomenal! Total price - 1,350 THB ($40.19)

Dong Chon Wua (โต้งชลวัว) - This is one of the ultimate Thai street food restaurants in Pattaya serving Thai Chinese braised beef noodles and soup. Total price - 550 THB ($16.37)

Somtam Jay Phai (ส้มตำเจ๊ไพ) - Right along the busy Jomtien Beach, Somtam Jay Phai (ส้มตำเจ๊ไพ) has been serving fiery Isaan papaya salads for 36 years. Their grilled pork neck is phenomenal and also their raw blue swimmer crab salad. Total price - 860 THB ($25.60)

Lung Shall Kitchen (ครัวลุงแฉ่ว) - Next we’re driving outside of Pattaya town a little ways to go to a local restaurant that was recently featured in the Michelin Guide. The food is a little on the sweet side, but overall quite good and unique for a local taste of Thai food in Pattaya. Total price - 720 THB ($21.43)

I hope this gives you some great ideas about authentic Thai street food when you visit Pattaya, Thailand!
