Manns Restoration is putting the finishing touches on this awesome 1931 Ford Model AA truck. It's still powered by the original 201 cubic inch flathead four cylinder, which has been totally rebuilt. It produces the same 40 HP that the regular Model A's did, but it is being sent through a lower geared four-speed manual trans. The gearing lowers the top speed a bit, but it gives it much more power for hauling heavy loads. The chassis is similar in design to the other model A's as well, but again, it has been substantially strengthened to carry more weight. The crew at Manns also built a custom oak bed, mounted on a steel framework, that is considerably stronger than it would have had originally.
