The time finally came, and with Germany's corona cases going down significantly some cities were finally able to open their shops and restaurants ALMOST like normal. Of course capacity is lower, masks are mandatory, and tests are required (tests in restaurants only) BUT given that we haven't sat at a terrace since October 2020 we are more than happy to do it.

On Saturday we got our free corona tests. You can get them from a number of different pharmacies or test centres. We went with a small red cross test center (which I couldn't film) but was basically just a tent in an empty parking lot. If you need to book, you can find details here:

We walked around Frankfurt's downtown from the Opera, to Hauptwache and through the old town to the main river.

On Sunday we enjoyed Höchst's old town--a neighbourhood on the Westend of the city (which used to be its own city).

We later enjoyed a walk in the Höchst Stadt park, and a trip to Main-Tanus Zentrum mall. A giant indoor/outdoor shopping mall in the West end of Frankfurt.
