Heatwave, wildfires & soaking horses down

End of June is rapidly arriving and the heat wave put us all to a test of endurance.

We had a full month of keeping horses cool, vet visits and the discovery of the 215 children at the residential school.

If you follow our other pages, you would have seen parts of it all unravel. Starting with Lucky, our yearling grullo filly getting kicked? (best guess) out on pasture leaving her with a large fat knee. We brought her in to be xrayed and examed, after multiple xrays and another specialist looking, we are still not sure what her out come will be.. fingers crossed with time she will heal sound.

the foals are now used to be hosed down, the first few times was wild and they jumped around alot.

the sunsets have been outstanding, the wildfires are creating this orange/red glow and the smoke clouds are dancing and moving to a rhythm of their own, the fires have not threatened our place, but our parents place and cabin! are about to be threatened by fire.

we are over-joyed with the support we receive from social media about the foals, and happy to open gifts they receive in the mail.
