This was another N*E*R*D song that after jamming to became another drum remix project. I wanted the drums to make this track heavier by playing the same opening vocal loop rhythm on the double kick accompanied by the riding china groove. Party People has a great groove to sit in the pocket but then enough freedom to open up a bit in places.. I used the rap section to have the drums more of a feature as well by playing off the vocal rhythms.
