I have to wait a week to add the other link, in the meantime get started by reviewing the following sounds, and short vowel sounds: a, e, i, o, u; t, n, r, m, d, s, I, c, p, b, f, v

Then, study compound words or multisyllabic words that have ONLY those short sounds such as:
tomcat (two syllables, both closed), dogrun, batman, mended, laptop, etc. Make sure they also write these words down!

Week 2 should be spent on MASTERING the silent e, including writing. Keywords: black homeschooling, homeschooling, homeschool mom, homeschool family, homeschool curriculum
