Zsolt Erőss and Péter Kiss on Kangchenjunga Summit

Five climbers—almost half of the 11 who summited 05/20/13—died while descending from the top of Kangchenjunga in the Himalayas on Monday and Tuesday in a series of separate incidents.
According to preliminary reports from the Spanish climbing site Desnivel, the dead include two Hungarian alpinists, Zsolt Eross and Peter Kiss, who lost contact with Base Camp. Also killed were Korean climber Park Nam Su, who suffered a fall near the top of Kangchenjunga, and two sherpas, Phurba Sherpa and Vivas Sherpa, whose bodies were found near Camp 4 and are believed to have died in a fall.
