Mosasaurus once roamed in our sea 80 millions year ago during the end of cretacious period. They were considered to be the most fearsome predator during their time. When scientist first found them in 1822, its length was around 30 feet and they assumed that mosasurus' length was 30 feet maximum. But as time passed scientist were stunned to see a mosasaurus' fossil of length 58 feet. It was called as Tylosaurus mosasaurus and it is the biggest mosasurus to be ever found.
