Canon 1.4x Extender III Hands On Test & Review
Is a extender worth purchasing? I personally think the 1.4x version III is well worth the investment if you are shooting with a high end lens and a pro body, especially if you are using a 2.8 or 4.0 telephoto prime lens. I didn't test the 2x converter because I personally think it degrades the image quality too much and shooting at 5.6 with sports isn't the best option. I would NOT recommend the older version of this or the 2x converters. I tested them out on the same setup and the image quality was terrible.
