1957 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop | CME Vintage Demo | Joel Bauman

The CME boys each take a turn at the wheel of the fabled 1957 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop.

This 1957 is incredible in every way. The body has aged with Clooney-like grace, with plenty of character providing checking lines, some rugged edge wear, and a smattering of scratches and buckle rash that say “Hey, I’m experienced. I know what you want, and I know how to give it to you.” The neck is strong and comfortable to the touch, with plenty of texture, while the headstock, just like Clooney in "The Men Who Stare at Goats," is a little rough around the edges. There is one small lacquer crack along the treble side of the truss rod, but it's purely cosmetic, and hey, we’re talking about a real deal ’57, so it better be worn in. Crank this baby up to "Ocean’s Eleven," and rock out "from Dusk till Dawn"!
