30 Years After Tiananmen Massacre, Rare New Photographs Released | The Quint
In the spring of 1989, pro-democracy protesters had gathered at the Tiananmen Square in Beijing. Jian Liu, a student of fashion design was there to capture the protests through the lens of his camera. Then the Peoples' Liberation Army marched in and massacred hundreds of people in cold blood. Liu kept around 60 rolls of photographs hidden for 30 years. He has finally released them to the public.
