The Whitley Family Reminisces (Pt. 1 of 5)

Part 1 of a documentary produced by NEON Records of KY featuring members of Keith Whitley's family, his mom Faye, his sister Mary, and his brother Dwight. The interviews were conducted at the old Whitley homeplace along state highways 7/32 in Sandy Hook, KY, which has since been torn down to make way for a new highway through Sandy Hook. I have only been inside the house once, unfortunately, on Labor Day 2003.

Part 1 covers the fire the family escaped which led the family to move into this home the interviews were conducted in, the radio shows that were produced in their garage with Ricky Skaggs and his dad, and Keith's childhood and early bluegrass career.
