DIY Wedding Film | Getting Married in Spain

Chano and I decided to create our own wedding film. It wasn’t only because we wanted to save money, but because we prefer it to be more personal and exudes who we are. In this moment, our love and passion for creating art is part of our life, and this video tries to show a fragment of this journey together.

Before I met Chano, I often had nightmares from past failed relationships. I would wake up in the middle of the night feeling like I was punched in my gut. I always felt like there was a massive hole in my heart. I would cry myself back to sleep. This inspired the first part of this video.

I promised myself to never marry a man for the wrong reasons. I didn’t want to marry because I was getting “old”, or because my friends were all getting married and having kids, or because I was feeling lonely.

I prayed to God that if He will allow me to marry someday, it would be with a man who will truly love me.

True enough, Chano came into my life. I never believed in soulmates but with him, I know that I found my better half whom I’m willing to spend the rest of my life.

Chano loved me when I was hurt and broken. His love is patient and pure. He did not force me to heal. He let me grow as a woman and a human. He never made me feel insecure nor made me doubt myself. He helped me turn my insecurities into confidence. His love made me love myself again.

We chose a dream theme for the film because every morning when we wake up, we say to each other that being married together feels like if we’re having the most beautiful dream and we don’t want to wake up. From past nightmares to a magical dream!

Thanks also to "Dukefotografia.com" for making the effort and sending us our new Canon R7 the day before the wedding. Though we barely had time to set up the camera properly for filming before the ceremony, we were able to get enough clips for the film idea that we wanted to transmit. We also used an iPhone 13 Pro & a DJI Mavic Air 2 drone for filming.
