Clint Walker in Silver Tales and Golden Trails of the Old West a Documentary show. Clint Walker wanted to produce an Old West History series where each episode was about the California Gold Prospectors, Outlaws, Lawmen, Gunfighters, Cowboys and Indians. Clint wanted to focus on the part of California where he lived. Grass Valley, Nevada City and the area around these places. Here is a tale he tells about a couple of Miners and some lost treasure. Silver Tales and Golden Trails would have made a great family friendly television series. Most people remember Clint Walker as Cheyenne Bodie in the Warner Bros. western TV series Cheyenne that aired from 1955 - 1962. Or as Big Jim Cole from the movie The Night of the Grizzly. Or as Gar Davis in the classic Western Movie Fort Dobbs co-starring Virginia Mayo, Brian Keith and Richard Eyer. I visited with Clint many times and we had some wonderful conversations. He loved the American West. The interviews we did have been just sitting unedited and unreleased for years now. I really hope to be releasing more of these. This is amazing history that needs to be shared. Clint was very knowledgeable about the Old West and would have been the perfect host for the half hour episodes of this series exploring the history and mysteries of the western United States.
