Orca Encounter Doesn't Go to Plan (Full-ish Show)

A nighttime Orca Encounter (I really wish they had proper lighting and not just the screens!), things didn't seem to be going 100% to plan from the start but were going ok until the spy hopping section where the whales began not to cooperate at about 9:50.

The trainers leave the stage for a while, and then at about the 12:45 mark Corky begins playing with the closing gate. At 13:52 trainer Mike comes out to explain what's going on.

At 16:48 they get Corky to come back to stage and they begin the show again with soaking the audience member. Notice at this point the gate remains open. Ikaika also appears briefly. Then at 21:20 they try to close the gate, which Corky seems to object to. At 22:56 Mike comes back to the stage and they get Corky and Ikaika to stage, they decide to wrap the show there with some splashing.

The issue with such a scripted show like this is its very obvious when things aren't going quite right and I feel like the trainers should be quicker to explain to the audience what is going on. Though trainer Mike did a great job when he did come out.

Whilst this isn't the full show I hoped to post, I thought you guys might find it interesting to see how this was handled.
