The wooden dowel that we used is 0.312 in wide (or 5/16") x 36 in long (we cut it down to 28 inches) but it fit the balloon cups perfectly.

You'll also need clear hair ties, zip ties, hot glue, river rocks, and wire cutters to cut garland or silk flower stems.
