Misameach is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to lifting the spirits of children and adults who are hospitalized, bedridden, or facing serious illness. Misameach has gained renown for bringing smiles, hope and encouragement to hundreds of children and their families.

Misameach is a Hebrew term that is loosely translated as “promoting happiness”, and that is precisely what our volunteers do each day. What began in 2007 as the small-scale effort of 10 volunteers has metamorphosed into a sophisticated organization, with a comprehensive range of services.

Our mission is to provide relief and entertainment for critically ill patients and their families.

We send groups of volunteers to hospitals and homes of patients to entertain them with live music and dancing. We throw gala events and family carnivals; arrange birthday parties and bar/bas Mitzvos; organize cruises and other outings; and so much more. Additionally, we maintain a well stocked DVD library for bedridden patients to bring home.

Misameach relies entirely on donations from generous supporters like you, and is a recognized 501(c)(3) tax-deductible charity.
