Amazing Alternate Picked Arpeggios With Bill Hall

The awesome Bill Hall stopped by to talk about his prodigious command of elbow picking, only for us to discover a whole treasure chest of *other* motions he does just as well, like his fantastic wrist-based arpeggio picking technique. Bill is using the pronated forearm setup here, which is the approach used by amazing players we've interviewed like Molly Tuttle, David Grier, and Oz Noy. You can identify it in the Magnet closeup by noticing the thumb-side anchor, while the pinky side of the palm is not touching the strings. This is one of the "big three" main setups for wrist playing, all of which achieve essentially the same end result of being able to create any type of escape motion / perform any kind of string changes, just using slightly different arm positions and anchor points. Check out Bill's complete interview, with 77 musical examples and tablature, right here: http://troygrady.com/interviews/bill-hall/
