The fact that rapper Denzel Curry managed to survive his youth in Carol City without a lengthy stay in prison is something he now describes as good fortune. Denzel Curry's brother died in police custody in 2014, and many of his childhood friends are now in one of the many prisons. TRACKS talks to Denzel Curry about police violence, backyard fights, racism and unequal educational opportunities in the USA.
