Gen Bipin Rawat, First Chief of Defence Staff Inspects Tri-Service Guard of Honour & Answers Media

General Bipin Rawat, the first Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) inspects tri-service Guard of Honour at South Block lawns. Media greeted him with passion and fervour wishing him a very Happy and Prosperous New Year 2020. He wished all a splendid Happy New Year. CDS Gen Rawat answered media and said that he and armed forces remain far away from politics and undertake tasks given by ruling Government. He said that the CDS task is to bring integration and synergy in armed forces of India. On the question of China building roads along Northern border of India in disputed areas across the border and challenges posed by Northern Neighbour, he said "the challenge will be faced by integrated and joint efforts. He said one plus one plus one should not become three rather it should become five or seven.
