Extreme Weather Camping in the Sierra Nevada Mountains

Every year in late October, we try to get in one last camping trip to one of our favorite lakes in the Tahoe National Forest with our friends. We haven't been able to go the last couple of years for various reasons, but this year we were determined to get out and enjoy the last of fall. We were pretty surprised when we showed up to a campsite covered in snow, but we still made the best of it. Our friends borrowed our Four Wheel Camper Fleet and we were in our 4x4 Mercedes Sprinter Van. It was a mix of cold sunny days and frigid blustery days. Either way, we were glad to get out and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
