Exploring the Layers & Depth of Ocean: Introduction to Oceanography
@15:36 Please note the correction: The freezing point of seawater decreases as salt concentration increases. At typical salinity, sea water freezes at about -1.87 °C that is nearly -2 °C (28 °F). Ocean water, with an average salinity of 35 psu, freezes at this temperature implying that at high latitudes sea ice can form. In contrast to it, the average temperature of the ocean surface waters is about 17 degrees Celsius (62.6 degrees Fahrenheit).

In this video, Dr. Manishika Jain explains the topography of oceans - continental shelf, continental slope, continental rise, abyssal plains, ocean trenches and layers of ocean - epipelagic, mesopelagic, bathypelagic, abyssopelagic and hadalpegalic.
Please note the following correction in the video freezing temperature of ocean water is -1.87 degree celsius.
