Fairfield Mayor Frank Carbone considers running for Senate

Fairfield Mayor Frank Carbone says he sees the “suffering” of people in Western Sydney.

Mr Carbone told Sky News host Chris Kenny people in Western Sydney are “doing it really tough”.

The Albanese Labor government is facing a complicated electoral threat in crucial seats in Western Sydney.

The lobbying group "The Muslim Vote" is looking to run candidates against Labor in seats where the Muslim population makes up as much as a quarter and even a third of the vote.

Fairfield Mayor Frank Carbone is now looking to run too.
