Scientific Name: Hydrurga leptonyx
Range: Mostly waters around Antarctica but also seen in southern Australia, Africa, and South America
Size: 10.8 to 12.5 feet (3.3-3.8m); 661 to 1102 pounds (300-500kg)
Diet: seabirds, other seals, cephalopods, and more!
Lifespan: up to 30 years
