Steelers get an extra day to prepare for Washington
There was a bit of outrage regarding the Steelers’ Week 13 game against the Washington Football Team, who were originally slated to play on Sunday afternoon. That would’ve forced the Steelers to have three days to prepare for that contest. Now, they’ll have four days to get ready for Washington.
With this postponement, the NFL will now have two games played that Monday. The San Francisco 49ers will host the Buffalo Bills at State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals, at 8:15 p.m. ET. The 49ers are playing in Arizona due to a prohibition on all contact sports in Santa Clara, Calif. until Dec. 21, with the purpose of slowing the spread of COVID-19 in the area.
