B-25, P-51 & Experimentals / Steve Crowe memorial

On December 7, 2008 a memorial service was held for fellow pilot Steve Crowe at Whiteman Airport in Los Angeles. The North American Mitchell B-25 Heavenly Body flew this formation flight with a P-51 followed by two Lancairs and two Glasairs. On the second pass, the bomber broke right in a missing man formation heading back to his home base at Van Nuys Airport. Back in 1992, Steve Crowe piloted that same B-25 off the carrier USS Ranger in San Diego Bay as part of a tribute commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Doolittle Raiders mission.
