Göteborg Film Festival 2014 – Master Class: Ralph Fiennes
This year's recipient of the Göteborg Film Festival's Honorary Dragon Award is the British actor and director Ralph Fiennes. Ever since his on screen debut in Wuthering Heights (1992), he has belonged to that rare group of actors whose mere presence gives magical lustre to films of all genres. Throughout the years, the classics of British literature have been a main trace in his career, from numerous Shakespeare interpretations on stage, to the two films he directed himself: an adaptation of Shakespeare's Corolianus (2011) and his new film, The Invisible Woman (2013), where he plays the great novelist Charles Dickens in a story about Dicken's secret love affair with young actress Nelly Teman. In honour of Mr. Fiennes, the festival presents a special event which includes a screening of The Invisible Woman followed by a Master Class with Ralph Fiennes, moderated by Jonas Holmberg, the festival's deputy Artistic Director.
