Severely injured but alive, he returned home to Nagasaki — only to experience the second atomic bombing just three days later.
Against all odds, he survived both explosions and later became officially recognized by the Japanese government as a survivor of both bombings.
His story remains one of the most unbelievable survival stories in human history.
