- x230t BIOS 2.73 (GCETB3WW) EC 1.14 (GCHT25WW

- Download LinuxMint & Unetbootin app for Windows link below :
https://mega.nz/file/BA83BKwS#JroalvnFAIlwq_X8BK0EePvcxIvVi3lj2oLkhiKFCQM
- The BIOS version of the laptop must be older than the patched version, all versions of the x230 bios can be downloaded on the official link page below
https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/be/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-x-series-laptops/thinkpad-x230/downloads/ds029187
- If the bios version on your laptop is newer than the patch version, first downgrade to an older version
1.Insert the USB Drive with the Linux already prepared and run it by default.
2.When you run linux on your laptop first connect to wifi '' located in the right corner ''
3.Then open the "terminal" located in the left corner.
4.In the terminal type "sudo passwd root" and press enter of course use enter to confirm after each action that we do not write every time.
5.When prompted pw type '' a '' and enter, it doesn't show it in the terminal but you typed it as soon as you type it so you don't type more than once thinking it didn't type it.
6.Retype pw type '' a ''
7.For new pw type '' su ''
8.Now when you are prompted pw to type '' a '' again
9.Prepare yourself links in notepad so you can copy that you don't have to type every next command
10.Copy and paste this line of code into terminal:
apt-get install build-essential git mtools libssl-dev
11.Then when done, copy and paste this into terminal also:
git clone https://github.com/hamishcoleman/thinkpad-ec
12.Then when done. copy paste this to Terminal once more:
cd thinkpad-ec
13.Then copy and paste this also:
make patch_disable_keyboard clean
14.When done, copy and paste this code also into terminal:
make patch_enable_battery clean
15.Next step type into terminal:
make patched.X230.img
- If you get an error then change the Capital X in X230 to small x230,or T430 to t430 or whatever model you are already working on.
16.Now you need to copy the image you uploaded to your other USB Drive that you have previously prepared and formatted in FAT32,
to do this, insert another USB Drive into the laptop
and in the terminal type "lsblk" in my case it's a disk "sdc 7.5GB"
17.Now type in terminal:
''sudo dd if=patched.x230.img of=/dev/sdc''
- you state the name of your disk, don't state it wrong, in me it's "sdc" you pay attention to the label you have.
18.When you copied the patched bios to the USB Drive close the terminal and restart the laptop, leave only the USB DRIVE with the PATCH version of the bios and remove the USB with the linuxmint version from the laptop, boot with the F12 key and specify that the boot with the USB Drive where the PATCH version is.
19.When it asks you to update the bios let it do it itself it will reset itself
and that should be it.I hope I helped you.
I managed from the second attempt to pay good attention
