Gran Canaria Meloneras Boardwalk to Maspalomas at Heatwave 🌞Update from Thursday 16 July 2020. There's a movement, the Holidaymakers can come again. Now over this weekend a lot of hotels, shops, restaurants, and bars will open again. And on my way from Meloneras to Maspalomas, I could see big changes. On the beach of Meloneras, more restaurants were open or were preparing to open. The Lopesan Villa del Conde is absolutely spotlessly cleaned and all Sunbeds, Chairs, and Parasols are ready and waiting for guests. The Hotel reopens on 17.0720. In the two Hotels of Riu, the Hotel Riu Gran Canaria, and the Hotel Riu Palace Meloneras, there was already a lot going on. The Shops and Restaurants on the Beach Promenade from Meloneras to the lighthouse, as I could see, had already all opened. The Lopesan Costa Meloneras Resort is still closed due to renovation works, but also in the Hotel Faro Maspalomas the sun loungers are available, so also the hotel will reopen soon.
