Ukraine Holds ‘Brief Talk’ With US After Russia’s 12-hr ‘Complex’ Saudi Meet With Team Trump | War

The US anticipates a “positive announcement” following 12-hour talks with Russian delegates in Riyadh on March 24, which focused on a Black Sea ceasefire. Washington and Moscow reportedly plan to issue a joint statement on March 25, though the Kremlin said the content of discussions will not be made public. Moscow is analysing the negotiations but has no date for further meetings.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian officials remained in Riyadh for additional talks with the US. Discussions included territorial demarcations and power plant control, with another meeting planned. The Moscow Times reported that Russia seeks to prolong peace talks to gain control over occupied Ukrainian regions, pushing for the US to pressure Kyiv into withdrawal. The White House clarified that it will not discuss Ukraine’s annexed lands until a truce is reached.
