A remarkable connection - reflections on 5m views
In this brief message John reflects on the surprising milestone of 5m views and, instead of celebrating, expresses compassion for those who depend on technology more than nature for spiritual comfort. If these videos are found to be helpful, then thanks to those who encourage this "Unworthy servant" to continue.
Here is the message John received from James that he refers to in this video: "In the internet era phones/computers are like a genies, at the click of a button we can draw forth anything we can imagine, and with image editing they can be augmented to appear more grand then they are in person. *I recently watched a video of an astronaut expressing disappointment in seeing outer space for the first time, because of high resolution satellite photos he saw*.
We work 9-5 computer jobs, then drive home (both in the city) and indulge in social media, text conversation and television until we fall asleep with phones in hand.
We have the ability to communicate instantly with people around the world, but in outwardly communicating, we often are missing the interpersonal communications directly around us.
My question is, what would you suggest for the younger generations that find themselves primarily living in a concrete/digital worlds on how to not become cynical or disconnected, and instead find whole & oneness with ourselves, each other, nature & god?"
