Disney’s CHANGING Millennium Falcon to be more like Star Tours (but different) 🛸 #disneyparks

🚀 Millennium Falcon is about to become a lot more like Star Tours.

But in a very different way.

Star Tours: The Adventure Continues is basically a Star Wars slot machine. Where you go is completely randomized: 5 different intros, 5 different first planets, 10 different hologram messages, and 6 different ending planets. That's hundreds of possible combinations.

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run opened in 2019 at Galaxy’s Edge with just one destination: Corellia. But it's been widely reported that Imagineers planned multiple missions from the start, including a recent Wall Street Journal article. You can tell from how the preshow is cut, where Hondo basically says "you're going to INSERT PLANET HERE."

Yet, new planets never got added. Until now.

Enter the new Mandalorian mission, opening May 22nd at both Disneyland and Disney World. It sends you to multiple classic Star Wars destinations, but it doesn't work the same way as Star Tours.

You'll always start by jumping to Tatooine first.

But then an engineer picks the final destination:
- Cloud City
- Coruscant
- The Death Star wreckage above the forest moon of Endor (a full circle moment back to the original Star Tours)

Here's the key difference: it's branching, not random. In Star Tours, the ride is in control. But on Millennium Falcon, the riders are in control, because it's interactive.
And Imagineers have hinted at hidden paths and secrets within Millennium Falcon’s new mission.
