How to Select a Brushless Motor for 1/8th Scale Buggy

In this video we combine what we have learned in previous videos to select a brushless motor for a 1/8th scale buggy.

Three items must be understood before selecting the motor:
1) Application
2) Target Speed goal. How fast do you want the vehicle to travel?
3) What LiPo cell count will you use?

Once these are known, the next step is to learn a little bit more about the RC application. More specifically about the internal transmission details.

From here we can calculate the kv we expect to use and determine the physical size of motor required.
