Nacho Chassis Build Breakdown + Running Footage 🔥

I’m finally breaking down my holy grail Nacho chassis build and showing it in action. After hunting one of these down for a long time (shoutout to Reddit for the find), I’ve put together a unique setup that blends performance, balance, and clean aesthetics.

In this video, I walk through the build top to bottom, including what’s stock, what’s been upgraded, and what’s actually worth trying if you’re building or tuning your own rig.

🔧 BUILD SPECS

Chassis: Nacho 7 Seconds (Dead 90 setup — ~10mm longer than stock Gladiator length)
Receiver: GT5
ESC: Lizard Pro
Motor: Micro Komodo
Motor Mount: Akers
Axles: Muse Axles V1 (slight underdrive rear)
Drive Shaft: Extender fitted (no carrier bearing)
Oil: 15wt rear / none front
Springs: Stiffer rear setup (per Nacho's Instagram recommendation)
Front: Dual rubber band
Body: Hard body — custom gray paint w/ acrylic weathering/rust effects
Overall Width: ~120mm (outermost tire to outermost tire)
Weight: ~540g w/ battery
Weight Distribution: 60/40 ✅

💬 Why Dead 90 on the Nacho Chassis?
The Dead 90 setup runs about 10mm longer than a stock Gladiator, and on the Nacho chassis specifically it transforms the driving feel — more planted, better climbing, better descent control. Pair that with brass in all four corners and stiffer rear springs/oil and this thing is dialed. If you're building one of these or looking to upgrade, this setup is worth trying.
