2020 HUMAN RIGHTS, SEXUALITY AND THE LAW SYMPOSIUM

The Initiative for Equal Rights (“TIERs”) is pleased to invite you to our annual Human Rights, Sexuality and the Law symposium.

The theme of this year’s symposium is “Moving Beyond the Clampdown on Human Rights Advocacy in Nigeria”. This is the sixth edition of the symposium held annually by TIERs to mark the International Human Rights Day. The event will also be used to launch the 2020 Human Rights Violations Report in Nigeria.

The Keynote address will be deivered on the symposium theme “Moving Beyond the Clampdown on Human Rights Advocacy in Nigeria”.

There will also be two panel discussions followed by Q and As on the following topics

Recognizing the Gender Bias in Nigeria’s Legal System
Social Media and Human Rights Advocacy
