Just a really quick product review video showing the dryer vent cleaning kit that I had purchased on Amazon that broke while trying to clean my dryer vent. It may have been defective, or just a bad batch of the plastic rod material.
I had previously used and reviewed the Gardus LintEater dryer vent cleaning tool and it held up great. I even bent and accidentally twisted some of the LintEater rods, and they held up just fine.
If a rod breaks during use, it can cause a major problem.

I noticed that the Gardus brush head pattern is designed similar to a drill bit or auger to get through the lint without creating a blockage. Although the brush head on this Extraguard kit was more substantial, with more bristles, it didn't have the auger pattern.

If you have an excessive buildup of lint in the vent, you can use the metal blockage removal tool that comes with the Gardus LintEater kit.
