Polymer Clay Faux Stone Earrings Tutorial

In this video we show you how to make polymer clay faux stone pieces that you can use for jewellery, earrings, accessories and home decor.

The tutorial looks at four different mediums that can be used in your faux stone creations:
- Just translucent clay
- Pigment Powder & translucent clay
- Alcohol Inks & translucent clay
- Acrylic Paint & translucent clay

It takes you through the following steps:
- how to colour your polymer clay using other mediums such as pigment powder and alcohol ink
- How to incorporate metallic leaf or gold leaf
- When to use liquid clay for binding
- How to create a faux stone log (sometimes referred to as a faux stone cane)
- How to slice up and assemble your log pieces into a slab
- How to turn your faux stone slab into earring or jewellery pieces
- How to seal or resin your pieces
- How to sand and buff your pieces
