Constantinople's Last Night | 1453 C.E. | The Night an Empire Died

On the night of May 28, 1453, the greatest city in the world prepared to die. For 53 days, Sultan Mehmed II had hammered its walls. Now, with a forgotten gate left unlocked and a wounded commander abandoning his post, a thousand-year empire collapsed in a single night. This is the story of the last emperor, the last prayer, and the last stand of the Roman world.

👍 If you would have stayed and fought alongside Constantine — or quietly escaped through the harbor — let us know in the comments. What would YOU have done on Constantinople's last night?
